Overview
Awbrey Glen is a private, gated golf community on the northwest side of Bend, developed by Brooks Resources Corporation. The 18-hole championship course opened in 1993 and was later updated by David McLay Kidd. Homes sit on large private lots across the developed sections of Awbrey Butte, many with direct views of the Cascade Range or the golf course. The community reached build-out in 2006 and transitioned to member ownership.
The club centers on golf but extends beyond it. The practice complex is one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest, anchored by a dual-ended driving range and The Loop, a five-hole par-three course. Members also have a lap pool, fitness center, and a catch-and-release lake stocked with rainbow trout. A member-run nonprofit, Give Back, has distributed over $1 million to Central Oregon families.
