Awbrey Glen is a private golf community on Awbrey Butte, on the northwest side of Bend, Oregon. Brooks Resources Corporation broke ground on the development in 1992, building a residential neighborhood around a championship golf course on the butte's pine-covered slopes. The residential portions of the community are gated, with private homesites set among ponderosa pine and rock outcroppings.
The community is built around Awbrey Glen Golf Club, a private 18-hole course. The course was designed by Oregon golf course designer Gene "Bunny" Mason and opened in 1993, and it has more recently been updated by David McLay Kidd. It plays to a par of 72 and measures 7,007 yards, with a slope rating of 135 from the back tees.
Beyond the main course, the club's learning center holds what it describes as one of the deeper practice setups in Central Oregon. It includes a double-ended driving range, practice bunkers, and putting and pitching greens, along with The Loop, a five-hole par-three course. The club calls The Loop the only course of its kind in the area.
Awbrey Glen Golf Club is member-owned. Membership covers more than the golf course, with dining that looks out toward the mountains, a pool complex that includes a lap pool, a kiddie pool, and a hot tub, a fitness center, and a calendar of social and family events. The clubhouse sits at 2500 NW Awbrey Glen Drive.
Living on Awbrey Butte puts you minutes from downtown Bend and the Deschutes River, with the Cascade peaks on the western horizon. The neighborhood's position on the butte gives many homesites long views, and the surrounding terrain keeps lots private even within a gated golf community. Homes here range across single-level and multi-story floor plans, most built from the 1990s onward as the community filled in.

He seems to navigate the process between buyers / sellers to a "T" and he exemplifies the communication and clarity. You will not be disappointed ....
We had an excellent experience working with Matt! He was smart, understood our needs right away, and acted quickly while staying calm and patient throughout the process. Even in a tough market, he sold our home faster than we expected. Truly the best — highly recommend!
Matt is the most professional, communicative, and honest Real Estate Broker I have ever worked with. Matt kept me informed on a weekly basis as to the progress of selling my home in the Bend area. He had very constructive ideas to improve my property and always found a reasonable subcontractor to improve my chances of selling my home. If you are selling or buying a home I suggest you contact Matt Ryan immediately. Matt is the best!!
From the start of our journey to the end, Matt was right at every turn. Selling a house is an emotional roller coaster and Matt helped managed the downs while pridicting the ups. I highly recommend Ryan Realty for both buying and selling!
Matt did a great job helping us sell our home. His presentation and marketing were professional and thorough. He was patient, low pressure with us and provided expert guidance. We would not hesitate to recommend or use Matt's services again.
Matt was invaluable in guiding us through our purchase. He is responsive, professional, and above all, a trustworthy person. Matt was always willing to assist us no matter the numerous questions we asked, connecting us with local resources, arranging contractors, and generally helping us jump through the various hoops that it takes to buy a house from out-of-state. We highly recommend Matt!
