Bend: 145 sales at a median of $215,000 (+15% from a year earlier), and the typical home went under contract in 41 days. Redmond: 54 sales at a median of $129,500 (+8% from a year earlier), and the typical home went under contract in 57 days.
The median home sold for $168,500 in September 2011, against a range of $138,900 to $237,000 since October 2008.

The median single-family home on less than an acre in Bend sold for $215,000 in September, up 15% from September 2010. 145 sold, 18 fewer than September 2010. Homes that sold went under contract in a median of 41 days. At the end of September, 718 were for sale against 915 sales over the past six months: 4.7 months of supply, a balanced market by our measure (above 4 and under 6 months is balanced). By price the market splits: Under $400K ran as a seller's market, while $400K to $500K gave buyers more room.
