Bend: 204 sales at a median of $282,462 (−5% from a year earlier), and the typical home went under contract in 22 days. Redmond: 79 sales at a median of $218,000 (+17% from a year earlier), and the typical home went under contract in 40 days.
The median home sold for $255,000 in September 2014, against a range of $149,250 to $270,500 since October 2011.

The median single-family home on less than an acre in Bend sold for $282,462 in September, down 5% from September 2013. 204 sold, 15 fewer than September 2013. Homes that sold went under contract in a median of 22 days. At the end of September, 639 were for sale against 1,363 sales over the past six months: 2.8 months of supply, a seller's market by our measure (4 months or less is a seller's market). By price the market splits: Under $400K and $400K to $500K ran as a seller's market, while $750K to $1M gave buyers more room.
