Bend: 201 sales at a median of $240,000 (+17% from a year earlier), and the typical home went under contract in 26 days. Redmond: 62 sales at a median of $154,260 (+43% from a year earlier), and the typical home went under contract in 17 days.
The median home sold for $197,450 in August 2012, against a range of $138,900 to $204,000 since September 2009.

The median single-family home on less than an acre in Bend sold for $240,000 in August, up 17% from August 2011. 201 sold, 30 more than August 2011. Homes that sold went under contract in a median of 26 days. At the end of August, 548 were for sale against 1,130 sales over the past six months: 2.9 months of supply, a seller's market by our measure (4 months or less is a seller's market). By price the market splits: Under $400K ran as a seller's market, while $500K to $600K and $600K to $750K gave buyers more room.
