Bend: 182 sales at a median of $204,500 (+11% from a year earlier), and the typical home went under contract in 37 days. Redmond: 66 sales at a median of $115,475 (+5% from a year earlier), and the typical home went under contract in 12 days.
The median home sold for $154,950 in April 2012, against a range of $138,900 to $184,900 since May 2009.

The median single-family home on less than an acre in Bend sold for $204,500 in April, up 11% from April 2011. 182 sold, 35 more than April 2011. Homes that sold went under contract in a median of 37 days. At the end of April, 488 were for sale against 915 sales over the past six months: 3.2 months of supply, a seller's market by our measure (4 months or less is a seller's market). By price the market splits: Under $400K ran as a seller's market, while $400K to $500K gave buyers more room.
