MacArthur Basalt Quarry offers a rare opportunity to acquire an established mineral resource property in Grant County, Oregon. The 19-acre offering includes the mineral rights, current operating permit and remaining basalt and aggregate stockpiles. Located west of Oregon Highway 19 near Milepost 120, the property features an established quarry floor, exposed basalt faces and a history of mineral extraction. A professional mineral resource evaluation completed in 2019 identified Picture Gorge Basalt as the primary resource and estimated approximately 612,200 cubic yards, or 1.47 million tons, of in-situ basalt within the permit area. Laboratory testing of representative rock and crushed aggregate samples reported that the material met ODOT abrasion specifications for base aggregate and Portland cement concrete aggregate.
